Privacy Notice
What we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, where it is kept, for how long, and the rights you have over it.
Last updated 19 October 2026.
Who we are
Manuel Cid (“we”, “us”) decides how the personal details sent through this website are used, and is responsible for them under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). To ask anything about your details, .
What we collect
- Your contact details: name, email address, phone number, and, if you give them, your business name and business address.
- What you tell us about your project: your survey answers, the services you choose in the quote builder, the totals of your estimate, any notes, and the time you ask us to call you.
- Technical details that protect the forms: a scrambled (one-way) code made from your internet address, and your browser type. We use these to stop spam and repeated automated submissions; they don't tell us who you are.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run visitor analytics. Your browser keeps your survey answers for the length of your visit so the quote builder can use them; they are cleared when you close the tab.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to you and prepare your quotation or call: because you asked us to, before any contract (taking steps at your request before entering a contract).
- To follow up on your enquiry and keep a record of it: our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, which we balance against your rights. We don't send marketing emails unless you've agreed to them.
- To keep the website and our records secure: our legitimate interest in preventing spam, fraud and misuse.
- If you become a client: to deliver the work under our contract with you, and to keep financial records the law requires.
Who handles it for us
We never sell your details. A small number of service providers handle them on our behalf, only to provide their service, under contracts that protect your details:
- Supabase: stores our records (on servers in London, United Kingdom).
- Vercel: hosts this website.
- Resend: sends our emails (from servers in Ireland).
- Google Fonts: supplies the fonts on this website, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
Some of these providers are based in, or may access data from, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the UK's approved safeguards (the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses).
If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies to that conversation.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't go ahead: deleted once they're no longer needed, and no later than two years after our last contact with you.
- The raw copy of a form as it arrived: deleted after six months (the details in it stay in your enquiry record).
- Clients: kept while we work together, then financial records for six years, as UK tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your details, correct them, delete them, restrict how we use them, or send them to you in a format you can reuse. You can also object to us using them for our legitimate interests. We'll answer within one month, free of charge. To make a request, .
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change how we use your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
